The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has released its latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) report, indicating a significant decline in inflation rates in recent months. According to the report, CPI inflation fell to 29.4% in June 2023 from 38.0% recorded in May 2023. However, in July 2023, inflation rose to 36% from 01% in the previous month. The CPI stood at 45% during the same period in 2022.

The report provides a comprehensive overview of inflation trends, covering various sectors and geographies. The Publications Inflation Monitor 2023, covering the period from 2015-16 to 2023 December, offers detailed insights into inflation patterns over time. The Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) rose by 0.2% in July 2023.
