Istanbul, Turkey - Manchester United were held to a disappointing 3-3 draw by Galatasaray in their UEFA Champions League Group Stage match on Wednesday night. Despite an early goal from Hakim Ziyech, the Turkish side fought back with goals from Mert Akturkoglu and Scott McTominay's own goal.

The Red Devils started brightly with Casemiro dictating the tempo in midfield and Marcus Rashford causing problems down the left flank. However, it was Galatasaray who struck first in the 29th minute when Ziyech curled a stunning free-kick into the top corner.

United responded well and equalized through McTominay's header in the 62nd minute. But just four minutes later, Akturkoglu restored Galatasaray's lead with a close-range finish.

With time running out, United pressed for a winner and thought they had secured it when McTominay nodded in from a corner. However, VAR ruled out the goal for offside, leaving the visitors frustrated.

The result leaves United's qualification for the knockout stages in jeopardy. They currently sit third in Group B, three points behind Galatasaray and with only one match remaining.

Speaking after the match, United manager Erik ten Hag said: "We're disappointed with the result. We had chances to win the game, but we didn't take them. We need to learn from our mistakes and improve quickly."
